The American Underground is a site designed to inform the public about alternative news and uncover disinformation. Membership is free, but participation is not. Participation requires active reading, thinking and reasoning. Do not believe all you read. There is a lot of disinformation floating around the internet, television and even your local library. We try our best to present information with supporting documentation, check refrences, and listen to input from other members.
Myself, codename "Jedimaster", and "Bhang" established the American Underground on 25 May, 2005. The idea of creating an online archive of alternate information stemed from a conversation Bhang and I had while discussing his tour of duty in Iraq. The Underground is growing stronger every day. As of writing this, we have over 3500 posts, 736 members, and ever 1200 topics. Our forum topics range from patriotism to ancient civilisations. Most forum topics question established truths, and seek to explore the path least taken.
Every member is free to post any information that they desire as long as it does not violate our registration agreement. In short, no porn, no senseless violence, and no illegal solicitation. As a general rule, if we do think that a post violates our agreement, we will contact the author and discuss the matter. If, and only if no comprimise can be reached, will a post be deleted. This has only happened once.
